Annibale “Blackie” DeVincentis, 95, of Manahawkin, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016. Born in South Hackensack, NJ, he resided in Teaneck prior to moving to the Southern New Jersey area in 1987. He was a Police Officer, proudly serving in the Teaneck Police Department before his retirement. He also served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the VFW and PBA, both of Teaneck. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan, an avid bowler and loved playing cards.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Jenny (nee Lisa), his two sons; Robert (Margaret Ann) and Arnie DeVincentis, his daughters; Josephine Schoonmaker (David) and Toni Ann Francavilla (Anthony), his brother Eugene DeVincentis as well as his two grandchildren Veronica and David III and his great grandchildren John David and Jesse.
Visiting hours will be held at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 573 Mill Creek Rd., Manahawkin, NJ 08050, on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 2pm to 4 pm with a blessing at 3:30pm. A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 22, 11am at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
