Anthony N. LaRocco, age 85, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully with his loving wife Marie by his side on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at his home.
Born New York, NY, he lived in New York, NY and Bayonne, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided for the last 20 years. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by City Of New York as an HVAC Technician. He earned his private investigator certificate in Civil/Claims Investigations & Security in 1981. Anthony loved being a handyman around his home and enjoyed the "thrill" of Atlantic City games of chance. He also loved boxing and at age 17, he competed in the Golden Gloves tournament. He loved playing his guitar and country music, especially Johnny Cash. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents, August and Augustina (LaCotta) LaRocco, and his three sisters, Katie Logano, Rose Spada, and Millie Marzulla.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie V. (Catalano) LaRocco, his two sons: Anthony P. LaRocco and his wife Karen and Michael LaRocco and his wife Robin, his sister, Ann Venezia, his four grandchildren: Jenna McFarlane, Lauren Reilly, Michael LaRocco and Anthony LaRocco, his great granddaughter, Billie Marie McFarlane, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:30am on Tuesday, September 19 at St. Mary Of The Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ, 08050. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
