Barbara Lathrop

Barbara Ann Lathrop, age 73, of West Creek, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

Born in Lakewood, NJ, she lived in Lanoka Harbor, NJ prior to West Creek where she resided for the last 55 years. Prior to her retirement, she was a teacher in the Lacey Township school district. She was a member of the Elks, Forked River, NJ, a member of the NJEA, sat on the Board of Directors of the Associated Humane Societies and Popcorn Park Animal Refuge of which she, along with her mother Charlotte, helped to found.

She is predeceased by her parents, James and Charlotte (nee Zucchi) Lathrop.

Barbara is survived by sister Cheryl Conroy and her husband Steve and her brother Leroy Lathrop and his wife Linda. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2022 form 1pm to 5pm with a service beginning 4:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ, 08050.
