Bernard C. Tumulty, 85, of Manahawkin, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
Born in New York, NY, Bernard lived in Bogota, NJ for 30 years prior to residing in Manahawkin for the last 5 years. He proudly served his country as a Communications Officer in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1977, and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion posts, both in Bogota, NJ.
He is predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Anna Daly Tumulty, his nephew Thomas Tumulty, and his niece Maureen Ryan Sarao.
Bernard is survived by his two brothers; William Tumulty and his wife Gail, and Charles Tumulty and his wife Linda, his sister Ann Ryan, his two nieces; Shelia Ryan-Pendergast, and Theresa Ryan-Earl, and his two nephews; Charles and Michael Tumulty.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 2pm to 6pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Millcreek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2017, 12:15pm at St. Mary of the Pines RC Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ. Cremation will be private.
