Blanche Rizzo

Blanche Rizzo (nee Rivera), age 89, of Manahawkin, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Staten Island and then Jim Thorpe, PA prior to Manahawkin where she resided for the last 16 plus years. Above all, she was selflessly devoted to her family.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Joseph C. Rizzo in 2017 and her sister Millie Spiller.

Blanche is survived by her son Steven and his wife Ivy, her daughter Dianna Trunzo and her husband Scott, her sister Ann Gambrel, and her five grandchildren; Victoria, Matthew, Rachel, Jordan and Christopher. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 4pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 29, 2018, 10am at St. Mary Church, W. Bay Avenue, Barnegat. Cremation will be held privately.
