Carolyn Kosar

Carolyn B. Kosar, age 82, of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she resided in Colonia, NJ and Long Beach Island prior to Manahawkin where she lived for the last 18 years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Kaufman Stairs, Linden, NJ as a Payroll Specialist. She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Pines Church, Manahawkin. Carolyn was an avid bowler and golfer. She also enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a member of the Italian-American Club, Manahawkin, and an active member of the Atlantic Hills Neighborhood Association. Every year, she looked forward to traveling to Aruba to spend time in the sun with her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 62 years, Charles, her daughter, Maria Tedesco & her husband Mike, her son-in-law, Lou Melillo, and her four grandchildren, Tara, Victoria, Christine & Lauren, who loved her greatly. Carolyn is predeceased by her daughter, Judy Melillo, and her brother, Ralph Penevolpe.

A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, August 19 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ, 08050. Her memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am on Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ, 08050.
