Catherine Bocian

Catherine M. “Kit” Bocian (nee Carr), age 89 of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Monday July 27, 2015.  Born in Jersey City, she lived in South River before residing in Manahawkin for the last 8 years.  Kit was a Customer Service Representative for PNC Bank, South River, NJ prior to her retirement. She was a member of the South River Women’s Club, the Imperial Music Center and enjoyed playing bingo, cards and bowling.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph S. Bocian, her son David Bocian, her brothers William and James Carr and her sister Agnes McGuire.

She is survived by her son Joseph A. Bocian, D.M.D. and his wife Kathleen of Millstone Twp., her daughter Carol Lynch and her husband John of Manahawkin, her brother Francis Carr, her daughter-in-law Linda Bocian of South River, her grandchildren; Joseph M., Jonathan, David, Kristy, Jennifer, Lauren, Rebecca and her great grandchildren Jacob, Lucas, Laney and Savannah.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 573 Mill Creek Rd Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A funeral service will take place Thursday, July 30, 2015, 9am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River, NJ.
