Charles David Sprague, age 88, of Manahawkin passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at home.
Born in Beach Haven, NJ, he lived there prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 2003. He was a self-employed mason, owning and operating C. Dave Masonry. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Masons, Mariner’s Lodge #150, Barnegat, the Shriner’s Crescent Temple, Trenton, as well as a member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, Long Beach Island.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marion B. Sprague, his son Forrest D. Sprague and his granddaughter Jenna Reso.
Charles is survived by his four daughters; Yvonne Cribbs, Valerie Reso, Lynnette McAuliffe-Thomas and Christine Butler, his brother Reynolds Sprague, his sister Erma Spiotta Greene, his brother-in-law Forrest Phillips, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 1pm to 5pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A time of remembrance will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017, 11am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at White Cedars Memorial Park, Manahawkin, NJ.
