Ernest A. Morgan, Jr., age 69, of Manahawkin, NJ.
Ernest passed away peacefully at Southern Ocean Medical Center surrounded by loved ones on February 25, 2021. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in North Plainfield, NJ prior to Manahawkin. On January 13, 1973, he married Mary Ann Fusco. They moved to Stafford Township in 1987 with their two children Michael and Melissa. Prior to his retirement, Ernest worked as a Repair Technician for Sears, Lakewood, NJ. He also worked as a Police Officer, serving the North Plainfield Police Department. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 1971-1974, during the Vietnam war. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 1000, Trenton NJ and a life member of the Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company.
Ernest is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann V. (Fusco) Morgan in 2019, his parents Ernest A. Morgan and Lorraine Kulinski Morgan, and his brother-in-law Anthony Fusco.
He is survived by his children, Michael and his wife Michelle, and Melissa and her husband, Anthony Cahill. He was also blessed with three grandchildren, Michaela, Liam and Noah. He is also survived by his brother Robert Morgan Sr. and his wife Joan, his niece Nicole Fusco , four nephews, Bob and Chris Morgan, and Billy and Zachary Otte, his sisters-in-law, Betty Garrison and Amy Otte,and Toni Elam, as well as many other extended family members. He is also survived by his faithful four-legged companions, Louis, Sadie, Bella and Cali.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 10am until his time of remembrance, 12:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Rd, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beachview Ave., Manahawkin.
Due to Covid 19 guidelines, the funeral home is operating at restricted capacity. Please note that face masks and social distancing are required at all times for all in attendance of all services.
