Frances “Lana” Hand

Frances “Lana” Hand, age 76, of Manahawkin passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Southern Ocean Medical Center of Manahawkin, NJ.  

Born March 18, 1948 in Newark, NJ, she lived in Newark, Manasquan and Brick, NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided for the last 29 years. Lana was a graduate of Vailsburg High School, Class of 1966.  Prior to her retirement, she was a government employee working for DYFS, Toms River, NJ as a Principal Clerk Typist.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Edward Hand, her daughters, Lisa Tigeleiro & her husband Sergio and Dawn Kaufman, her sons, Kevin Hand & his wife Galina, Brian Hand & his fiancée Kim and John Kaufman & Dawn Hand, her grandchildren; A.J., Olivia, Cristian, Lochlyn, Coty, Justin, Bailey, Ryan, Emma, Genevieve, Frankie and Vincent, and her great grandchild Grayson. She is also survived by her many loving extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A funeral service will take place at 10am on Friday, May 24 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Wells Mills Road, Waretown, NJ.
