Gary Bowers

Gary Keith Bowers, age 68, of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022

Born February 20, 1954, in New Brunswick, NJ, he lived in Spotswood, NJ, and Waretown, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 2001. Gary worked for SMW International based in Spotswood, NJ for many years starting as a mail clerk and retiring as the Mill Manager. He was known as a good boss who was always willing to lend a hand or to listen to someone’s problems and help if he could. As a third generation SMW employee, he took great pride in his job and his personal connection to the business.

He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Eunice (nee Green) Bowers, and his brother, Barry Bowers.

Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years, Annette (nee Meggiolaro) Bowers, his son, Ryan Bowers and his wife Beth, his daughter, Danielle Bowers Sanders and her husband John, and his three grandchildren: Declan, Grayson & Sebastian. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Visiting hours will take place on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 1pm to 5pm with a funeral service at 4:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.

Cremation will be private.
