George H. Eddy, III, 80 of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side.
Born in Quincy, Mass., he graduated from Quincy High School. He then attended Boston University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. He went on to become a stationary distributor for college and private school bookstores. He successfully owned and operated own business, Direct Buying Service for over 30 years until his retirement in 2019. George was an avid reader and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. He also loved to dance and cook his signature dishes when he wasn’t dining out with his wife which he also loved to do. And we can’t forget his favorite cocktail, a Tito’s Martini straight up, dry with a twist. He also enjoyed ocean cruises.
George is predeceased by his father, George H. Eddy, II, his mother, Evelyn Eddy (nee Wilson), and his daughter Jennifer Eddy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Deborah, his stepdaughter, Mariel Peterson and her husband Jay, his sister-in-law, Donna Ferrara, his brother-in-law, Vinnie Ferrara, his sister-in-law, Diana Barone, his extended family, and his long-time close friends Angelo and Carol Bergonzi. He is also missed very much by his 2 fur babies, Gilligan and Lukas whom he loved dearly.
