George C. Hennessy

George C. Hennessy, age 61, of Warren Grove, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Born June 13, 1963 in Trenton, NJ, he lived in Manahawkin, NJ prior to Warren Grove where he resided for the last 25 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City, NJ as a Union Elevator Operator. In his younger years, George enjoyed clamming and scuba diving. Later on in life, George enjoyed traveling with his wife as well as doing his word search puzzles for hours on end. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

George is predeceased by his father, George C. Hennessy. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Sherrie L. (Stevenson) Hennessy, his mother Joan (Cahill) Hennessy, his sister Kathleen Dolci, his mother-in-law Joyce Tissiere, his four sisters-in-law; Joycelynn Stevenson, Tammy Stevenson and her long-time partner Buddy, Heidi Holt & her husband William, Melissa Roque & her fiancé Thomas Vaughan, and his many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4pm - 7pm with a funeral service at 6:45pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Burial will be private.
