Geraldine "Geri" R. Gallagher

Geraldine “Geri” R. Gallagher, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.

Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, she lived in Carteret, NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided full-time since 1999. Geri earned her both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education from Kean University, NJ. She was married to the love of her life, William Peter Gallagher, in 1953. Prior to her retirement, Geri was a teacher/educator for 25 years at Nathan Hale Elementary School, Carteret, NJ. She enjoyed traveling and many other activities. But her true love was for her family.

She is predeceased by her husband, William Peter Gallagher in 2018.

Geri is survived by her 5 children and their spouses; William and Marie Gallagher, Ruthann and Patrick Kelman, James and Charmaine Gallagher, Sean and Tracey Gallagher, Thomas and Cindy Gallagher.  She also leaves behind to cherish her memory nine grandchildren; Bridget Gallagher, Lauren and Craig Napolitano, Michael and Brooke Kelman, Caroline Gallagher, Jordan Gallagher, Arthur and Aimee Bethanis, Ryan Bethanis, Will Gallagher and his wife Shannon, Hallie Gallagher and 7 great-grandchildren; Olivia Napolitano, Mack Patrick Napolitano, Benjamin Kelman, Jolene Kelman, Alexis Bethanis, Ashlee Bethanis, Allison Bethanis.

Visiting hours will be held at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050, on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary of the Pines Church, Manahawkin, 10:00am, Friday, December 22. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.
