Harry Bachler

Harry L. Bachler, age 88, of Manahawkin, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at his home.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he resided in Kearny, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he lived for the last 13 years. He worked as a Teacher for Hudson County Vocational Technical School, North Bergen, NJ prior to his retirement. He also served his country in the U.S. Army right after World War II. He was a member of the Elks, Kearny, NJ.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Joan Bachler (nee Rooney), his two sons; Harry Bachler and Thomas Bachler, and his sister Alice Moeller.

Harry is survived by his wife Catherine Mills (nee Arcidiacono), his daughter Kathleen Rothberg, his brother John Bachler, his daughter-in-law Hedwig Bachler, his three grandchildren; Christopher Bachler, Jessica Radzinski and Michelle Tschinkel, and his three great grandchildren; Nicole Tschinkel, Natalie Bachler and Brian Bachler.

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 1pm to 4pm with a Time of Remembrance at 3:45pm at Maxwell–Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road Manahawkin, NJ 08050.  Cremation will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
