Howard R. “Pete” Emhardt Jr., age 75, of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., Pete lived in Oreland, PA. prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 2003. He was a police officer for the Philadelphia Police Department as well as working security at Germantown Academy, Fort Washington, PA. He also worked locally for Lowes home improvement. He was a member of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #5, and he proudly served his country in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathleen Emhardt (nee Wood), his two sons; H. Raymond Emhardt and David Emhardt and his wife Gina, his daughter Susan Emhardt-Servidio, and his two sisters; Ginny McCarthy and Marge Donahue, his four grandchildren; Brianna, Gail, Frankie and Anika and his great grandson Brayden. He also leaves behind his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm with a time of remembrance at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
