James Moran

James (Jim) Ambrose Moran, age 65, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away suddenly on Monday January 10th, 2022.

He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, raised in Sayreville and Long Beach Island, and lived in Manahawkin for 41 years with his family. Jim held the position of Assistant Superintendent for Business at Southern Regional School District for 17 years, he then became  Township Administrator/Director of Water & Sewer Utility for Stafford Township retiring in 2019. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He loved cooking, entertaining and spending time with his family and friends; especially his grandchildren! Jim's greatest accomplishments were his roles as husband, father, "Pop Pop", brother and uncle.

He was predeceased by his parents James and Geraldine Moran.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Moran, his three children, James Moran, Robert Moran and his wife Gabby, and Tara Marconi and her husband Tim, his three siblings, Margaret (Peg) Hom and her husband Mike, Patrick Moran and his wife Lori, and Michael Moran and his wife Kim, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. Jim's s legacy will live on through his children and his six beloved grandchildren, Avery, Cody, Ryleigh, Sophia, Zoey and Daniel.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 from 3pm until his memorial service, 6pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
