Janet Theresa Verdiglione

Janet Theresa Verdiglione, age 82, of Manahawkin, NJ and Boynton Beach, FL., passed away on February 23, 2024.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She also lived in Staten Island, NY prior to the Beach Haven West section of Manahawkin, NJ and Boynton Beach, FL. Janet loved spending time in the kitchen, creating many delicious meals for both family and friends. Sunday was family day. Everyone would gather around her kitchen table and enjoy her Sunday Gravy. She also had a passionate love affair with Lasagna, Clam sauce and anything dipped in chocolate.

On September 16, 1961, Janet married the love of her life, Thomas Verdiglione, Sr. Together they built a life they loved with their two children – Tom Jr., and Paula. Janet and Thomas were married for 61 wonderful years. Janet was a loving Mother in-law to Jacquie Verdiglione and cherished grandmother to Brooke Hart with spouse Tom Hart, Thomas J Verdiglione, III, Louis Paties, Thomas Verdiglione and Christian Haywood. On August 14, 2023 she welcomed her first great grandchild, Rory Thomas Hart. Janet is also survived by Her sister, Linda with spouse Tom, Brother Donnie with spouse Darlene, Brother Ronnie with spouse Meg, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and so
many cherished friends. To befriend Janet was a gift, to lose her is a void that can never be filled.

A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 7pm to 9pm and Thursday, March 14 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ. Her Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, March 15 at St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ  08008.
