Joan Montague

Joan M. Montague (nee Aldi), age 77, of Ocean Township, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Born in Newark, NJ, she lived in Cranford and Iselin prior to Ocean Township where she recently resided. Affectionately known as Joanie, she was selflessly devoted to her family and friends. Joanie had an uncanny ability of being in the middle of hilarious situations that will be remembered and lovingly talked about forever. She will always be remembered for her warm heart, endless smile, sense of humor and contagious laugh.

She is predeceased by her parents; Joseph and Ann (nee Padula) Aldi, and her sister and best friend Margaret J. Tobie.

Joanie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph F. Montague, her son and daughter-in-law, Glen & Theresa Montague, her daughter and son-in-law, Kim & Jim Sinnott, her brothers and sisters-in-law;  Joseph "Dink" & Louise Aldi and Michael & Judy Aldi, her grandchildren; Mark, Kaitlin, Joseph, Paul, Michael, James, Heather and Joss, and her great grandchildren; Cami and Everly. She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11am at St. Jerome's Church, 254 Wall St., West Long Branch, NJ. The family requests that everyone please meet at church Wednesday morning. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
