Joan Stankus

Joan E. Stankus, age 78 of Mayetta section of Stafford Township NJ, passed away on Tuesday December 22, 2015.  Born in Brooklyn NY, she lived in Brooklyn, before moving to Stafford Township as a child. She was an extremely dedicated worker for over 30 years at St Francis of Assisi Church, Brant Beach where she was also a parishioner.

She is predeceased by her parents John and Catherine Juszczak and her brother Nelson Juszczak.

Joan is survived by her three sons; Richard Stankus, Christopher Stankus and his wife Theresa, Michael Stankus and his wife Debbie, her four daughters; Sandra Crapanzano and her husband Vincent, Catherine Cruse and her husband John, Theresa Gordon and her husband Jeffrey, Lori Parker, her sister Dolores Johnson and her husband Isaac, and her ten grandchildren Jonathon, Matthew, Carson, Austin, Nicole, Brooke, Tyler, Kianna, Nicholas and Sophia.

Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 1pm to 5pm at Maxwell–Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road Manahawkin, NJ 08050.  Additional visiting hours will held Monday, December 28 from 10am to 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow, 11am at the church. Cremation will be held privately.
