John F. Behan

John Francis Behan, age 88, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at home. 

Born July 4, 1936 in Paterson, NJ, he lived in Clifton, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided full-time for the last 27 years. John proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Singer Kerfott, Fairfield, NJ as an Estimator. John enjoyed traveling with his wife.

He is predeceased by his parents, John F. and Helen (Farman) Behan and his two brothers, Ronald and Robert Behan.

John is survived by his wife: Joyce A. (Colquhoun) Behan, and his daughter, Lori Farrell and her husband, John, his son, John Behan and his wife, Jo-Ann. He is also survived by his three grandchildren; Shannon and her husband Timothy Geoffroy, Jessica Farrell and John Behan, and his great grandson, Wesley Geoffroy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 3pm until his memorial service, 5pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
