Joseph Monahan

Joseph M. Monahan, age 71, of Long Beach Twp., passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Iselin, NJ prior to Long Beach Township, NJ, where he resided for the last 20 years. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam war.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Morrison's Marina, Beach Haven, NJ as a Marine Mechanic. Joe was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and enjoyed fishing, boating, playing golf and biking.

He is survived by his wife, Veralynn Monahan (nee Petardi), his two sons, Jesse Monahan and Jason Monahan, his three sisters, Kim McMahon, Kathleen McCaffery and Karen Smith. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering with a time of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 3pm to 7pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ, 08050.
