Judith Pancoast

Judith A. Pancoast (nee Hammond), age 78, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Southern Ocean Medical Center of Manahawkin, NJ.

Judith was born September 22, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Southern Regional School District as a Special Education School Bus Aid.

Judy, known to many as Mom Mom, always had an open door and was welcoming to all. She most enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends and sharing tea. She spent many years painting ceramics, sewing cross stitch and hosting Tupperware parties. She was previously a volunteer at Shore Memorial Hospital. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends; however, we know her love will always surround us.

Judith is predeceased by her parents, John Hammond and Gertrude Hammond (nee Fletcher).

She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Pancoast, her two daughters, Charlene Twiggs and her husband Bruce, and Tammy Yanci-Leyh and her husband Richard, her two sons, Thomas J. Pancoast and Mark E. Pancoast and his wife Abby, her brother, Wayne Hammond, her grandchildren; Christian Twiggs and his wife Katelyn, Colin Twiggs and his wife Georgette, Maura Cook (nee Twiggs) and her husband Tyler, Baily & Devon Yanci, Abby, Madeline & Grace Leyh, Aurora & Austin Pancoast, and Mia & Joseph Pancoast, and her great grandchildren, James & Wade Twiggs.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 6pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Friday, December 23 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Barnegat Memorial Cemetery, W. Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005.
