Karen Smith-Walsh, 72 of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Born in Teaneck, NJ, she lived in Norwood, NJ before moving to Manahawkin 38 years ago.

Karen was the owner/operator of Sunshine Lanes, Manahawkin prior to her retirement. She was an avid bowler, loved gardening, a supporter of the Gift of Life program as well as an 11 ½ year survivor of double lung transplant procedure. She very much enjoyed spending time with her family.

Karen is predeceased by her parents Harry and Eileen (nee: Sedore) Abrahamsen and her son Craig E. Smith Sr.

She is survived by her husband James Walsh, her son Craig E. Smith Jr., her two daughters Teresa Zipf and her husband Edward and Kelly Radford-Stott and her husband Edward, her three brothers Harry, Thomas, and Richard Abrahamsen, her sister Eileen Abrahamsen, her five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm and Sat., March 12, 10am to 11am at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ  08050.  A graveside service will take place on Saturday, March 12, 12:15pm at Seaside Cemetery, Marmora, NJ.
