Kenneth C. Bonesteel, 91, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2014.
Ken was born in Yonkers, NY and married Carolyn A. Voss. They were married 65 years. He served in the armed forces for three years and was on duty in the South Pacific as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Force for 15 months. He worked for SJ O'Brien and HB Hamilton of Manhattan, and WC Industries in Stamford, Ct doing commercial HVAC.
He was an avid boater and was a member of Huguenot Yacht Club for 15 years and served as vice commodore. After boating, he spent many fun years owning a home on Long Beach Island, NJ. He retired to Vero Beach, FL and then moved back to Manahawkin, NJ to be near his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn, his son Robert Bonesteel of Manahawkin, NJ, his daughters Margaret Ann Maloney of Manahawkin, NJ and Janet (Seth) Klion of New York, NY and his sister Helen Buteux (née Bonesteel). He will be lovingly remembered as “Pop” by his seven grandchildren, Sean (Sara), Jodi (Patrick), Tammy, Gregory (Casey), Dana, Darcy (Tommy, Rachel and one great grandson Sam. We will all remember that he could fix anything and how much he loved ketchup. He will be immensely missed by all.
