Kenneth Allen Cranmer

Kenneth A. Cranmer, age 71, of Waretown, NJ passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at home.

Born January 30, 1953 at Camp Kilmer, Edison, NJ, he was raised and lived in Beach Haven, NJ prior to Waretown where he resided for the last 38 years. He was the former owner/operator/plumber of Island Plumbing, Beach Haven, NJ.

Kenny grew up on the bay and ocean as a young boy clamming fishing surfing and boating in Beach Haven. He graduated SRHS in 1972and married his high school school sweetheart in 1975. He loved racing starting out at the Pleasantville Speedway as a teenager then racing at Wall Stadium and other tracks in Don Cranmer's modified no 66. He then moved on to boat racing in the 80s driving garveys and skiffs in every class available, too many to mention, also driving multiple boats for anyone who asked. He was president of East Coast Boat Racing Club for 3 years and raced boats for many years. He was an avid nascar fan and motorcycle rider. He was a devoted father grandfather and great grandfather and loved all his kids. He was loyal to his friends and helped them out when he could. He was constantly on the go and very social he knew someone every where he went. After his accident he carried on the best he could remaining upbeat and positive. Nothing could keep him down. He was grateful for the support of many. He loved people and could talk to anyone. He started at Beach Haven Plumbing then went onto to get his master plumbing degree and opened his own business Island Plumbing, servicing LBI and the mainland meeting many customers who turned into friends. He then worked at Southern Regional High School as a plumber for 10 years before his accident in 2011. He was a happy person and didn't let what happened to him get him down. He was a fighter and very, very strong until the very end. He never gave up we will miss his beautiful smile, his one of a kind personality and his love of life. We want to send a special thanks to CCU at SOMC. Their professionalism, their knowledge, kindness and compassion is unmatched anywhere. With multiple hospitalizations nothing ever changed. They were always on top of their game. We will be forever grateful and we appreciated them so much. We loved them all the doctors nurses techs and the respiratory therapists. They are all heroes to us.
