LOUISE FARROW KMOSKO

October 21, 1951 – November 9, 2020

Louise Farrow Kmosko, longtime resident of Ship Bottom, NJ, completed her life’s journey peacefully at home. She was always there to help her family and her many friends. Passionate about the natural and cultural beauty of this world, she especially loved dance and music, the coastal environments and its creatures, and the many amazing places where she and her family traveled in the US and Italy.

Born into a large family in Massachusetts, Louise had a happy and active childhood. She graduated from Kean University in Union, NJ in 1973 with a BA in Education and a Minor in Dance. During her college years she attended summer Dance Workshops throughout the US, both as a student and dance costume maker. Her teaching career began at Southern Regional Middle School from 1974-1981.

Louise and husband Andy had three sons, Matt, Ben and David. During the childrearing years she was active in the local schools and began an after school Enrichment Program for LBI Elementary School PTA as she continued to teach Dance in her studio. She returned to full-time teaching at LBI School in 1993, and in 1998 transitioned back to Southern Regional District schools, teaching the “MAXTAP” gifted program where she was chosen Middle School Teacher of the Year. Upon retirement in 2011 Louise practiced and taught Yoga, where she gained many more loving friends. She was very committed to the education and well-being of all those she came into contact with during her entire life. Teaching was truly her life’s work.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, Andy Kmosko; sons Matt Kmosko, Ben Kmosko and David Kmosko (Rachel + granddaughters Lauren and Madeline); siblings Jack Farrow (Kiki), Paul Farrow (June), Susan Sempere (Thomas) and Scott Farrow. Her parents, John and Dorothea Farrow, and her Parents-in-Law, Andy Sr., and Mary Kmosko predecease her.

We all miss Louise very much and will forever cherish the wonderful memories and times shared with her. The family will be holding a private memorial.

In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to The Pinelands Preservation Alliance.
