Marie G. (Fischer) Ellsworth, passed away on December 31, 2024. 

She was born in Elizabeth, NJ to Jerome and Mae (Fagan) Fischer on August 3, 1931. She lived in Elizabeth for 24 years then Roselle, NJ where she lived for 24 years prior to Ship Bottom where she enjoyed living for the last 45 years. After being married in 1954, Marie was a homemaker for 14 years and then worked at United Counties Trust Co. in Roselle. Her family moved to Ship Bottom in 1979, where she worked at Southern Ocean County Hospital, now known as Southern Ocean Medical Center, as Corresponding Secretary for 17 years. Marie was active as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the choir of Saint Francis parish in Brant Beach, NJ. Marie was a member of Amergael, an Irish/American club for many years. Marie also enjoyed being a member of the silver slippers program on LBI.

Marie is predeceased by her son Robert M. Ellsworth. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Robert F., her daughter Patricia Miller and her husband Donald of Berkeley Heights, NJ, her grandchildren; Caitlin Press and her husband Jeffrey of Allendale, NJ, Brooks Miller and his wife Alana, and Colleen Cassidy and her husband Shane of Hoboken, NJ. She is also survived by her great grand-daughters; Haleigh and Shayna Press, and Avery Miller as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved very dearly.

A viewing will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard, Brant Beach, NJ at 10am on Monday January 6, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 283 Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin.
