Marie Palumbo

Marie Elena Palumbo (nee Danowski), age 80, of Manahawkin passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Born September 5, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ, she resided in Jersey City, Bayonne, Asbury, and Livingston, NJ prior to Manahawkin. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Marie was the life of the party and always knew how to have a good time. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was also a sun worshipper and lover of champagne. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Rose (nee Armente) Danowski.

She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Palumbo, her two sons, Thomas Pankewicz, and James Pankewicz, her daughter, Rosanne Palumbo, her step-son, David Palumbo, her sister, Annette Critelli, and proudest grandmother to Santino Benicio Scarponi. She also leaves behind her faithful pet companions, Rico and Tina as well as all those she gave love and care.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, January 15 from 1pm to 3pm, with a service at 2:30pm officiated by Msgr. Ken at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ.
