Marion G. Knapp, age 83, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, NJ.
Born September 6, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ, she lived in Tuckerton NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided for the last 20 years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Lenox China, Pomona, NJ as a secretary. She enjoyed going to the casino, her doll collection and loved food. She also enjoyed gathering with her "Friends Club", bus trips with her friends, and traveling. She really looked forward to her annual family vacation to Ocean City with her kids, grandkids and her siblings and their families. She truly treasured nothing more than being with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, George H. Knapp, her parents, Matthew and Viola (Venutolo) Albanese, her sister, Theresa Talty, and her brother-in-law, Martin “Joe” Talty.
Marion is survived by her two daughters: Dawn Guilfoyle and her husband Ray, and Laura Del Barto and her husband Michael, her two sons: George Knapp and his wife Karen, and Robert Knapp, her sister, Phyllis Lucci and her husband Dan, her brother, Matthew Albanese, Jr. and his wife Shirley, her 7 Grandchildren: Lex Knapp, Steven Knapp, Erin Guilfoyle, Christina Guilfoyle, Madison DelBarto, Robby Knapp, and Keira Knapp, her Great-grandchild; Charlotte Knapp and her great grandchild on the way, Baby K. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 6pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28, 11:30am at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin. Interment will Follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
