Mary "Gerry" Perko

Mary “Gerry” Geraldine Perko, age 81, of Barnegat Light, NJ passed peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at home with her loving husband by her side.

Gerry was born January 30, 1943. She lived in Hopatcong NJ prior to Barnegat Light where she resided full-time since 2004. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Hopatcong Board Of Education as a Teacher Of Special Education. Gerry served as a secretary for the Barnegat Light Museum, a trustee of Friends of Barnegat Light, a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Brant Beach, BJ, and a member of the Ocean County Library, Surf City branch, St. Francis Cornerstone Retreat and the American Association of Professional Women.

Gerry is predeceased by her son, Michael Perko. She is survived by her husband, James M. Perko, her son Brian Perko and his wife Marnie, her daughter, Lorri Graham, her sister Nancy Bogart, her brother Ron Straub, her seven grandchildren; Ian, Jake, Hope, Adam, Brianna, Ty and Hayden. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 10am until her Mass of Christian Burial, 11am at St. Francis Of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08008.
