Maureen Gazzillo

Maureen E. Gazzillo (nee Curry), age 66, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Hillsdale, NJ prior to Barnegat where she resided for the last 4 years. She is a graduate of Trenton State College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Bergen County Board of Social Services, Rochelle Park, NJ as Social Worker. She enjoyed knitting and playing Mahjong.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Richard P. Gazzillo, her two sons, Richard Gazzillo Jr.and his wife Antonia, and Nicholas Gazzillo, her sister, Dianne Goldberg, her grandchildren, Isabella & Valentina Gazzillo, her sister-in-law, Chris Curry, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am on Friday, May 6 at St. Mary of The Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Cremation will be private.
