Robert Macari

Robert Donato Macari, of Bayville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

Robert, affectionally known as “Uncle Bob” and “Bingo Bob”, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., he lived in Beach Haven prior to Bayville. He attended Bordentown Military Institute, a private high school, located in Bordentown, NJ. After high school, he served his country in during the Vietnam war in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Blackwood, the USS Eaton and the USS Little Rock. He was a credit manager for Huffman Koos, River Edge, NJ and worked for Credit Tech. He was a member of the ADK Mountain Club and enjoyed bowling, cycling and his volunteer work for Bergen Pines Hospital and Manahawkin Nursing Home.

Robert is survived by his sister Arleen Bates as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 10AM until his Mass of Christian Burial, 11AM, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ. Cremation and interment of his cremated remains will be held privately.
