Stephen Bayer

Steve Bayer passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 11th, 2020 at the age of 71.

Steve is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pam, his children; Randy, Meredith and her husband Jeff, Amy and her husband Lenny, Ross and his wife Catalina, Troy and his wife Diana, and Brooke; his grandchildren; Cole and his girlfriend Hannah, Zach, Rachel, Connor, Chase, TJ, Noah, and Adelyn, his great-grand daughter Olivia and a great-grandson coming in June 2021. He is also survived by his beloved dog Charlie.

Steve was born on October 7th, 1949 in Hackensack, New Jersey.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force, before he began a long career as a civilian for the United States Navy. He worked at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst from 1975 to 2020 as a decorated civil servant.

Family was most important to him. He was a devoted husband and father and there was nothing that he would not do for his children. He attended every doctor’s appointment, dance recital, sports game, and more.  He was very skilled with his hands, routinely taking on custom projects like decks, paver driveways and patios. He fixed anything that broke at his children’s homes.

The family will be holding a private memorial service and is not accepting flowers, but you can send your condolences via social media.
