Thelma M. Waldron, 79, of Manahawkin passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 14th, 2022.
Thelma was born on November 2nd, 1942, in Alexandria, Virginia where she grew up and lived until 1969. She attended George Washington High School in Alexandria, Virginia. She lived most of her adult life in New Jersey, most recently in Manahawkin. She had a long-time love for the Virginia area.
Thelma was pre-deceased by her parents, Frank J. and Thelma E. Waldron, brothers, Frank and Edgar Waldron, daughter, Amy Stewart, son-in-law, Ralph DeBruin, and sister-in-law, Shirley Waldron. Survived by siblings, Jacquelyn Keys, George Waldron, Steve Waldron, and daughter, Catherine DeBruin.
Cared for by her loving daughter, Dawn Forlai and son-in-law, David Wyrsch, Jr.
Thelma treasured her grandchildren, Michael DeBruin, his wife, Sammi DeBruin, Danielle DeBruin, Kailee Forlai, Kendal Forlai, Konner Forlai, David Wyrsch III, Gabriel Wyrsch, and Sarah Wyrsch. She was blessed to have two great-grandchildren, Abigail, and Dylan DeBruin. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Thelma’s love for her family had no limits.
Thelma was an avid Washington Redskins Football fan. She enjoyed laughs, nature, and watching the birds. She loved being surrounded by her family and was cherished by everyone around her. She was the listening ear and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was filled with love, strength, a warm hug, and a big smile. She will be forever missed dearly. She is now resting with the angels.
Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, August 18th, 2022, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am on Friday, August 19th at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity.
