Vincent R. Lucrezi, 67, of Manahawkin, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2017. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Little Falls, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 2009.
Vincent earned his undergraduate degree at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire and his M.S.W. from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. He was a Licenced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. For 20 years, Vincent was an adjunct instructor at Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ , where he taught a substance abuse class. Prior to his retirement, he was a Clinical Social Worker and the Student Assistance Counselor at Ridgefield Memorial High School, Ridgefield, NJ. He loved working with, and was loved by, all of his students. He proudly served his country in the New Jersey Army National Guard. Vincent enjoyed spending time in his workshop on various craft projects. He imparted his love of tools and hardware stores onto his son and received a great deal of pleasure working with him in his home improvement business. One of his favorite past times was watching and cheering on his beloved football teams – the New York Giants and Rutgers University Scarlet Knights.
Vincent is predeceased by his parents: Rudy and Mary Lucrezi and his brother-in-law Douglas Johnston.
He is survived by his beloved wife Valerie A. Lucrezi (nee Forziati), his son Michael Lucrezi, his sisters; Maryann Johnston and Judy Kelly and brother-in-law Robert Kelly, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Dominic and Mary Forziati, and his brother-in-law Kenneth Forziati. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews (and their spouses): Shona J. Perna, Joseph Johnston, Drew Johnston, Kevin Kelly, Michele Cafasso and Robert Kelly as well 10 great nieces and nephews.
At the convenience of the family, memorial services will be held at a later date.
