Walter Hillman

Walter R. Hillman, age 94, of Manahawkin passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020.

Born in Emerson, NJ, resided in Bergen County and Long Beach Island prior to Manahawkin where he lived since 1978.  Prior to his retirement, he worked as a forman for Loveladies Harbor, Loveladies, NJ. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps during World War II.  He enjoyed building toys for Toys for Tots.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Veronica M, Hillman (nee Schumacher) in 2012, his daughter Susan Shenk in 1999, his brother John Hillman, his sister Lucille Sweetser, and grandson Keith Hillman in 2007.

He is survived by his sons Walter Hillman Jr. of Hauppague, NY, Peter Hillman of West Creek, NJ and John Hillman of Little Egg Harbor, daughter Lucille Mayeux of Little Egg Harbor, his sister Irene Goforth, and his 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

At the convenience of the family private services will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ.
