Walter G. Mulvihill Jr.

Walter G. Mulvihill, Jr., age 78, of Barnegat, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Born September 7, 1946 in Newark, NJ, he lived in Manahawkin prior to Barnegat where he resided for the last 7 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Johnson & Johnson and Rhodia, Inc., in New Brunswick, NJ as a Facilities Engineer with a Gold Seal license.

Walter loved traveling. His favorite destination was to Puerto Rico where he spent time with his extended family. In retirement he went to culinary school and dazzled his friends and family with thoughtful meals and marvelous desserts.

He is predeceased by his parents, Walter G. and Madeline J. (Kanaley) Mulvihill. He is survived by his wife, Anita (Rivas) Mulvihill, his three sons; Walter G. Mulvihill III, John R. Mulvihill & his wife Jaime (Fairchild) Mulvihill, and Neil W. Garguilo & his wife Kristin Sanchez, his grandchildren; Kayla J., Aidan C., & Keira L. Mulvihill, his sister, Lynda (Mulvihill) Triebel and several nieces & nephews.
