Zachary Lee Strang, 26 of West Creek, NJ died June 18, 2017 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born January 21, 1991. He graduated from Pinelands Regional High School in 2009, where he played baseball and basketball. He attended Ocean County College, where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. During this time, he spent his summers working as a Long Beach Township lifeguard. He was currently working for Amon Construction as well as his family’s tree service business.
Zachary is survived by his parents Fred and Karen Strang; his brothers, Seth and Jared, and his sister Aly. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Terry Steuer of Manahawkin. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Heather Miller and her daughter AnnaRae, his dog Garvey, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Zachary will be remembered as always having a smile on his face, a contagious laugh, and so much love in his heart. He had a carefree spirit and a love for life. Zach was an amazing son, supportive brother, and a true friend. He had a passion for riding dirt bikes, skateboarding, snowboarding, skim boarding, and hunting. He would be described as hard working and always willing to help a friend. Zach was taken too soon and words will never describe the void he has left. The Strang family is so grateful for all the love and support from their family, friends, and the community.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Rd., Manahawkin, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 24, 2017, 1pm at St. Mary of the Pines Church, Manahawkin, NJ. There is no visitation on Saturday prior to Mass. Please go directly to church. Cremation will be private.
