John L. Miller - Loving father, grandfather & great grandfather
John L. Miller, age 89, of Manahawkin, NJ, formerly of Berkeley Heights and Hillside, NJ passed peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
John was born July 29, 1932 in Newark, NJ. He was a proud US Army veteran. Stationed in Korea from 1952 to 1954, he served his country during the Korean conflict. John was employed as an electrician by PSE&G, for 37 years, retiring in 1992.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Beatrice A. (nee Meyerick) Miller in 2018, his brother, Thomas L. Miller Jr., and his sister, Laura Dierolf.
John is survived by his four daughters; Donna Bator, Debra Klein (Daniel), Kathleen Kucinski (James), and Marybeth Ruchlin (Gary), his 10 Grandchildren; Melissa Kucinski Opperman (Paul), Megan Baumgartner (Rob), Jessica Federici, Amanda Luthman (Paul), Sarah Kucinski, Mary Kate Kucinski, Jonathan Ruchlin, Rebecca Ruchlin Coley (Zac), Matthew Ruchlin, and Benjamin Klein. John also leaves behind his most precious great grandchildren; Casey, Sammi, Giuliana, Ella, Tess and Finn. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Henry, his sister-in-law, Betty Miller, his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Donna Meyerick as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 11am to 12:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
